PET Plastic Project

A multi-disciplinary body of work about human consumption and plastic waste. Often using recycled waste as source material. My Future Relics fit in with this.

Perforated FLUX VESSEL made from upcycled PET plastic water container. Lace like structure of bubbles that echo the original container’s sparkling water but it’s functionality altered. My work is often poignant and ambivalent and I think this object reflects this.

‘Mapping Movements, co-ordinates 50.83413 by -0.27431/06:00.’ Contour mapping painting in progress on an innovative recycled plastic paper. Co-ordinates are for Shoreham-by-Sea, time 6a.m. Inverting the conventional empirically based ordinance survey map into a fleeting moment of a moving body of water.
‘Mapping Movements, co-ordinates 50.83413/0.27431, 06:00.’ Digital drawing intended for print, including key map.
‘Map Key 1.’ Print. Conflating decorative colour swatches of the ocean with a map key and embedded images of human plastic waste within. Under each is the title of a type of plastic and the headquarters co-ordinates of the largest plastic production companies around the globe.
